What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this Flint Hill Goods Coupler Lock, it's gonna go right through your coupler on the trailer, keep people from unlatching it, whether it's sitting here unattended or hooked up to your vehicle. Let's check it out. This coupler lock's gonna be great for running through like we saw, we can't open up the latch at all here if the trailer's just left on the lot or if you have it hooked up to the ball, you can hook it up to your vehicle when you leave it unattended, and it'll keep people from unlatching it there too. Really easy to use. The coupler lock's gonna go through our coupler that we have set up.

Now, if you have a latch up top, it can also fit through that style, and it's gonna work the exact same way, it's all about just keeping this latch from coming up, so you can't disconnect the coupler from the ball mount. So, right now, it's unattended, so it's actually protecting anybody from hooking up another ball to this, 'cause you can't unlatch it to hook up the ball. And if this was hooked up on your vehicle to the ball mount, you can use this, lock it up, that way, it can't be unlatched from your vehicle if you leave it alone. Now, this coupler locks gonna be really good for protecting your trailer. That way, nobody can hook up to it when you have a lock in there, or if it's already hooked up to your vehicle, somebody can't unhook it from your vehicle.

It's gonna have the barrel lock on this side, you get two keys with it. Really easy, put the key in there, turn it, remove it, and slide it right out. Now, this is gonna have a 2 1/2 inch pin length, it's also gonna have a 1/4 inch diameter pin, so that's gonna let you know, if you look at your coupler or the latch you wanna put it through, see that size of the hole to see if it's gonna work. The reason I gave you the pin length is you also wanna check that on your coupler as well to make sure that's gonna be wide enough to go through. So I've already put this in there so we know, but just to show you, put our cylindrical key in there, turn it to unlock it, remove it, just run it through the other side, and that's where that measurement comes into play to make sure this is gonna work.

Now, you also have a dust cover on the lock. You put it over there, that way, dirt, dust, and debris doesn't get in there interfering with the lock. Overall, I like how easy it is to use, depends on your coupler and your latch, so make sure you get those measurements, but I like to know that it's protected, whether it's sitting at the lot by itself or hooked up to the ball mount on the back of the vehicle. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, hope this helped.

These are heavy locks. They are spring loaded so it is just a turn of the key and they open. To close push in and turn key.

I have bought quite a few items from etrailer and I have not been disappointed.
This particular coupler latch lock is built better and I especially like the round key.

by:

Good price and quality of the lock seems good and shipping time was avg. but it was $5 so what can you expect for that amount.

by:

It works well. Just make sure you measure the the width of the coupler before you purchase. It comes in different lengths to suit your application.

by:

This is a well made product, I especially like not having to use the key to lock it. Communication was good and it arrived on time.

by:

Very fast shipping. I bought this to lock my bazuka pro rod case. Fit very snug

by:

Great company. Always takes care of their customers...

The first one did not work well, but trailer quickly made it right by shipping me a replacement that works jusT fine.

by:

Lives in my trailer, so far so good. No significant wear/rust. Trailers lives outside, under a roof.

by:

Great service, thanks Josh. Fast delivery and excellent item.

by:

I’m very happy with this coupler lock. I’m using it on a Maxey utility trailer with a Demco Easy latch adjustable coupler. It was a little long for my application, so I used a rubber grommet to protect the finish on the coupler. Great product!

by:

The only thing keeping it from being marked excellent is it is advertised as 3 5/8" span, it is actually only 3 1/2". If your application dictates 3 5/8" need, you will have to grind or turn some material from the inside under the head of the stem. Otherwise, it is well built and works as it should.

by:

Work well - process to lock them is kind of a pain though. Push on one end and hold cylinder from rotating to lock.

by:

great product

by:

Works great! Thanks to George for resolving my delivery issues! Great company to buy from.
Thanks Again!
Charles

Perfect for what I needed for the surge Brakes on my car EZ-Tow Dolly. I had previously ordered one that was 2-1/2" which should of fit but the hitch had some metal flares on it that made it necessary to get the longer one. Very good product - and I really like the round-cylinder key system. I recommend this product for anyone that has a surge brake system with the 1/4" shaft - pin locking system.

by:

I use this to lock a bike carrier to a class I hitch (the 5/8" lockable pin won't fit through the bike carrier mount). Works awesome. The rubber cap stays secure.

I bought this product and was pleased that the service and shipping was fast, but one of the locks fell apart the 1st time I unlocked it. The small lock that locks the trailer to my truck hitch just fell apart. The lock that locks the stinger to my reciever hitch was difficult to put on. My factory mounted trailer light plug below my bumper was to close to the stinger. I had to bend the key over at a 90 degree to get it to work, but I got several keys so its ok there. all in all I wouldnt buy this again or recommend this to a friend
